Suspect Flees Police After Allegedly Shoplifting, Three Arrested

A suspect jumped the fence into a gated community in an attempt to flee officers, but ultimately he and two other suspects were arrested for shoplifting on Saturday evening.

Turlock police responded to Kohl’s at approximately 4:17 p.m. on Saturday after receiving report of shoplifting.

Two female suspects, Mingnon Coleman, 21, and Marcia Aguilar, 19, were both arrested for shoplifting, reports the Turlock Police Department.

One suspect, later identified as Edward Costa, 28, allegedly fled from officers, according to Turlock police.

Costa ran across the street and jumped a fence into a gated community located off Tuolumne Road, said Turlock police spokesperson Sgt. Stephen Webb.

Officers were ultimately able to apprehend Costa on the 2700 block of Jubilee Drive.

Turlock police called for an ambulance as Costa was experiencing medical issues after running, said Webb.

Costa was arrested for shoplifting and resisting arrest.

    how much did that bill cost to send 2 cops scurrying after shoplifters who stole from some money grubbing, part time employing, small town killing, corporate box store?

    better yet, if welfare wasn’t around would these 2 hooligans have even been born? or are these more poor people feeling entitled?

    It will be ok. Prop 47 passed. No harm was done by these folks.
