Turlock Together, a cooperation of churches, businesses, non-profits, schools, service clubs and community members, is holding registration between now and Dec. 12 for its annual holiday food and toy distribution to thousands of needy children and families in the Turlock area.
People who would like to receive food and toys must visit Salvation Army of Turlock, 893 Lander Ave. in Turlock.
Those who would like to volunteer on distribution day, scheduled for Dec. 20 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or to volunteer in the warehouse to prepare for the distribution day should contact Lissette at the Salvation Army at 209-669-5366 ext. 101 or Bob at 209-678-5333. Warehouse volunteer dates include Dec. 8, Dec. 12, Dec. 15 and Dec. 17 — all from between 5 to 7 p.m.
Turlock Together is still taking donations of toys and non-perishable foods at locations such as any Turlock Fire Station or City Hall, or any of the blue bins at various stores and churches around town.
