Witnesses Spot Suspect During Vehicle Burglary

Turlock police arrested a male suspect on vehicle burglary after witnesses reported seeing the suspect in their vehicle on Thursday morning.

At approximately 4:20 a.m. on Thursday, witnesses called the Turlock Police Department to report a vehicle burglary on the 1000 block of Jacquelinelee Drive.

The witnesses looked out and saw a male suspect, later identified as Derek Gaspar, 25, in their vehicle, according to Turlock police spokesperson Sgt. Stephen Webb.

Officers responded after receiving the report and located the suspect a few houses down from the theft location, said Webb.

When officers contacted Gaspar, he was allegedly in possession of stolen property from the vehicle, said Webb.

Gaspar was arrested for vehicle burglary.

    Maybe some of this ingenious new budget for Turlock “tourism” can include attracting more of these psychotic tweekers to this already methed-out town. The freak show they are is the only thing I can see as an interesting feature here.
