One Wounded in Park Knolls Shooting, Suspect At-Large

Turlock police are investigating a shooting at Park Knolls Apartments. 12-10-14

The Turlock Police Department is investigating a shooting at the Park Knolls Apartments that has left one adult male wounded.

Police received the initial report of shots fired at the apartment complex at approximately 7:31 p.m. on Wednesday, said Turlock police spokesperson Lt. James Silveira.

One victim, an adult male, was wounded by the gunshots and has been transported to an area hospital, said Silveira. The injuries are non-life-threatening, however.

Neighbors in the apartment complex reported hearing multiple shots.

According to Silveira, witnesses told police that the suspect first fled on foot and then fled in a dark-colored sedan.

The suspect was described as an adult Hispanic male in his mid-20s. He was seen wearing dark clothing and a hoodie.

Turlock police are actively searching for the suspect.

The shooting is still under investigation by Turlock police. Officers having been searching the area, including on top of covered parking spaces.
