Visions of chocolate rivers flowed through the heads of many lately as rumor had spread that Turlock might be seeing its very own See’s Candies location beyond the temporary store that is currently set up in Monte Vista Crossings; however, those rumors have been unfounded.

There has been talk among local residents that the store might stay in the area, possibly at its current temporary location at 2802 W. Monte Vista Ave., or perhaps move to Geer Road or the Downtown area should business be profitable enough.

However, that is not the case as TurlockCityNews.com confirmed the less than sweet news with See’s Candies spokesperson Hannah Gray who said that there are no plans for a permanent location in Turlock.

While this news may come as a disappointment to many sweettoothed-Turlockers, the saying rings true in that life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get.

Residents will have to wait and see what happens in the future in regard to a permanent location in the city.

See’s Candies' temporary Turlock location will be open through the holidays and then close, so chocoholics will have to stock up while the store is still in town, or drive to Modesto and Merced locations to get their chocolate-fix once it closes.
