While most of the storm basins around Turlock have drained after the storm that hit two weeks ago, some water remains in the basin at Rotary International Park, located at 1025 Gettysburg St.

That water has created a new home for some area geese and ducks, who may have traveled just down the street from California State University, Stanislaus.

Following the storm that hit Dec. 11, nearly all storm basins in Turlock were at capacity thanks to approximately 2.86 inches of rain that fell in around 12 hours.

So it rains and the run off goes to a location like this then we send the kids out to play in it. I wonder what kind of fun things would come up in a test of the soil.
