Three suspects in a Turlock home invasion are facing a mountain of charges after the Ceres Police Department SWAT Team helped apprehend the suspects on Wednesday.
Justin Singh, 27, Austin Singh, 21, and Climon Adari, 26, were arrested Wednesday morning and face multiple charges including robbery and possession of an assault weapon.
Turlock police officers responded to the 1200 block of Lambert Way just after midnight on Wednesday on the report of a home invasion.
According to Turlock police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis, three suspects, one armed with an AR-15, entered the home and forcefully took several items from a resident.
Justin Singh and Adari allegedly took the victim’s purse and other personal items while Austin Singh waited by the door with the AR-15, said Lewis. The suspects then fled in a white SUV.
Authorities were able to locate the suspects as Justin Singh is on active probation and has an ankle monitor.
The Ceres Police Department was able to locate the suspects at a residence near Whitmore and Rose avenues in Ceres thanks to the GPS monitor.
Ceres SWAT responded to the residence with an armored vehicle and contacted the suspects, who were in the white SUV.
The suspects attempted to flee in the vehicle, however SWAT rammed into the vehicle to disable it, according to a post on the Ceres SWAT Facebook page.
The suspects in the vehicle immediately surrendered and were detained, along with several others, said Lewis.
Authorities located the assault rifle, with the laser sight on, in the vehicle, according to Ceres SWAT. A large quantity of marijuana was also located.
Members of the Turlock Police Department, Modesto Police Department, California Highway Patrol, and Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department also responded to assist the Ceres Police Department.
“The teamwork of all Law Enforcement Agencies in this county is second to none,” Ceres SWAT wrote on their Facebook page. “We would like to thanks those agencies for their quick response and willingness to help.”
Justin and Austin Singh were both arrested for robbery, possession of an assault weapon, possession of a short-barrelled rifle, and possession of marijuana with intent to sell. Justin Singh was also arrested for violation of his probation for being a felon in possession of a firearm. Adari was arrested for robbery and possession of an assault weapon.
Anyone with information on this home invasion are asked to contact Turlock Police Department Detective Jason Tosta at 209-668-5550 ext. 6624.
