A Turlock woman was shot, but is expected to survive following a murder-suicide in Crowslanding on Saturday night.
Stanislaus County Sheriff’s deputies responded to Kilburn and Villamanucha roads in Crowslanding after receiving a 911 call from a male claiming to have shot two people.
When deputies arrived they found two vehicles parked on the shoulder of Kilburn Road and two males with gunshot wounds to their upper body, both of who have been declared deceased. In one of the vehicles deputies found a female with a gunshot wound to the upper body.
The female, who has been identified as Maricela Martinez, of Turlock, was transported to a hospital for medical treatment and is expected to live, according to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department.
Preliminary investigation indicate that Mario Martinez, of Keyes, shot both his wife Maricela Martinez and Mario Medina, of Modesto. Mario Martinez was also the one to make the 911 call, determined authorities.
