Turlock police arrested a male suspect on Thursday night after he swung a bat several times at a victim following a domestic dispute.

Martin Wallace, 25, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.

Officers responded to a residence on the 700 block of Lambert Way around 11:30 p.m. on Thursday on the report of a domestic dispute.

According to Turlock police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis, Wallace had gone to the residence and was refusing to leave.

A male subject attempted to aid his friend, who was involved in the dispute with Wallace, and get Wallace to leave.

Wallace then went to his car and returned with a bat; he swung the bat several times at the male subject, said Lewis. Officers arrived and arrested Wallace.

No injuries were reported from the incident.

Turlock is getting worse and worse for crime, I was working and some looser guy grabbed me, not hurting me but just creeped me out. I miss the days when Turlock was much smaller and safer.
