The new look Turlock Parks, Arts and Recreation Commission (PARC) will meet tonight for their first public meeting of 2015.

PARC, which will be joined by newly appointed Commissioner Hannah Noonan, will not vote on any action items, but will hear several updates.

Updates from City Staff will include an update on the skate park, update on the Sports and Recreation Facilities Prioritization and Feasibility Study, and update on the smoking ban.

Turlock City Council recently approved a smoking ban at Turlock parks, public facilities, and adjacent parking lots. The discussion of the smoking ban had gone through PARC before council ultimately approved the ban.

The commission is also scheduled to have discussion with Turlock City Attorney Phaedra Norton for annual Brown Act training.

PARC will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Yosemite Room of Turlock City Hall, 156 S. Broadway.
