Suspect Attempts to Ignite Propane Tanks, Wanted for Attempted Homicide

The Turlock Police Department is currently looking for a suspect wanted who attempted to burn down an occupied home by igniting several propane tanks.

The incident occurred on the morning of Feb. 25 when Turlock police were called to the 100 block of W. Syracuse Avenue to assist the Turlock Fire Department, who received reports of the smell of propane in the air.

According to Turlock police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis, an officer arrived on scene and through the course of investigation found that a suspect had opened more than ten 250 gallon propane tanks.

The suspect allegedly made several threats to the occupants of a residence on the 100 block of W. Syracuse Avenue, which is adjacent to a propane business, said Lewis.

He made attempts to light a match, however was unsuccessful and fled before police arrived, said Lewis.

Authorities have identified a person of interest, however, they are not releasing his identity at this time. The suspect is wanted for attempted homicide.

    Is most likely receiving government benefits, doesn’t have a job, has kids he can’t afford, probably steals things to fund his math habit. All in all, just another regular dirt bag from Turlock California running around and having more rights then the innocent, working-class people in Turlock.
