Subjects in Possible Fight Detained at Gunpoint

Multiple subjects were detained at gunpoint by Turlock police on the morning of March 4 following reports of a fight involving armed suspects on Geer Road.

Turlock police received reports of an altercation between parties at the McDonald’s on Geer Road after 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

Reporting parties told police that the subjects involved in the altercation may have been armed, said Turlock police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis.

Officers contacted the subjects in the Geer Gardens shopping center where, due to the nature of the call and the subjects possibly being armed, the subjects were detained at gunpoint, said Lewis.

During the course of the investigation, authorities discovered that one subject had been armed with a knife and another with a screwdriver.

However, neither party seeked prosecution and no arrests were made.

More of this behavior to come as more and more lowlifes move into the central valley because they understand that the central valley towns have underfunded and understaffed police forces. Wait till we see another economic downturn and these lowlifes no longer get a government welfare check, or a EBT card. The time to prepare and acquire firearms, food, And water.

I’m just wondering why the author used “seeked” as the past tense of seek. Seek is an irregular verb and cannot take “ed”.
