TCFM has announced that it will be moving its location, from Broadway Avenue and West Main Street to Main Street, between Center and Palm streets.

In the beginning of this year, TCFM announced that it would be changing days, from Fridays to Saturdays.

Many people who could not attend the morning time on a weekday have requested changing the event to Saturdays. The weekend opportunity will now be available.

However, there had not been a lot of discussion within the community about changing locations.

The move mostly affects businesses on Main Street, either the west side losing foot traffic or the east side dealing with increased traffic that the west side has had as well.

La Mo Café, located at 310 East Main Street, was concerned about the traffic but has been a supporter of TCFM and continues to be.

Where maybe La Mo Café was concerned, others are saying that it will be much better for businesses in that location.

Jesse Henrich posted on the TCFM Facebook page, “It took how long to move?..
Would have saved some businesses if it moved 2 years ago…”

The move to East Main Street will be good for business and have more shade for attendees.

The market, which was Fridays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Broadway Avenue, will now be moving to Saturdays at the same time, but on East Main Street, between Center and Palm streets, beginning May 2.

October 2014 was the close of the fifth year of the Turlock Certified Farmers Market.

The Turlock farmers market features delicious seasonal produce, fresh food with local ingredients, and hand-crafted items. Last year’s market featured new vendors, as well as music and entertainment for guests.

This year’s farmers market will run all summer and through October.
