Suspect Arrested After Riding Stolen Motorcycle Over Private Lawns

Turlock police arrested a male subject early on Tuesday morning after officers spotted him riding a stolen motorcycle over private lawns.

An officer attempted to make a traffic stop around 4 a.m. on Tuesday after seeing a subject riding a motorcycle without a helmet on the 300 block of N. Broadway Avenue.

According to Turlock police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis, the subject, later identified as Robert Rodriguez, 48, began riding on private lawns.

The officer eventually stopped the subject and upon contact found that the motorcycle had been stolen, although it had not yet been reported.

The suspect was also found to be in violation of his parole.

Rodriguez was arrested and booked for auto theft and parole violation.
