Beer drinkers rejoice! For the third consecutive year, one of the state’s premiere celebrations of craft beer will be hosted in Turlock.

The third annual Central Valley Brewfest will be bigger and hoppier than ever when it returns to the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds from 1 to 5 p.m. on May 9.

“We are excited to build on the success of our first two festivals and introduce many more people to craft beer,” said Veronica Camp, founder of Central Valley Brewfest. “Focusing on the finest hops and artists in the area is a natural fit the community can enjoy supporting.”

Central Valley Brewfest has become wildly popular over the first two years and this year’s event will feature more than 125 styles of beer for guests to sample.

The city’s Dust Bowl Brewing Co. and Sandude Brewing Co. will be representing what Turlock’s growing craft beer scene has to offer, with the popular Lagunitas, Ninkasi, and Tioga Sequoia brewing companies also joining the Brewfest.

“The Central Valley Brewfest is a one of a kind event in our region,” said Camp. “We really want to make this beer festival more than a drinking event, we want it to be a pure Central Valley craft brew experience. Keeping our locals on the cutting edge of a growing trend.”

There’s a bit more to Brewfest than just beer, however. Central Valley Brewfest will feature live music from local favorite Flying Blind and great local food vendors, including Lockeford Sausage.

A new addition to this year’s Brewfest will be Firestone Walker’s game zone, which will feature corn hole and ladder golf inside the booth space.

Tickets purchased in advanced are $30 and $35 at the door on the day of the event. To encourage safe driving, there is a discounted designated driver ticket for $15. All guests must be 21 or older to attend.
