Get your carafes, mason jars, and 10-gallon hats ready, because on Saturday, at 7-Eleven locations across the nation, you can fill your any cup with Slurpee deliciousness.

Okay, maybe don’t fill the 10-gallon hat, but 7-Eleven is encouraging creativity when it comes to “Bring Your Own Cup Day,” hosted from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, April 11.

“Slurpee is all about having fun, and what better way to celebrate warmer weather than by filling your favorite cup with your favorite beverage?” said Laura Gordon, 7‑Eleven vice president of marketing and brand innovation. “From sand buckets to trophies, customers can unleash their creativity by bringing in their choice of a unique, fun Slurpee cup.”

The cost to fill your “cup” of choice is $1.49, or the average cost of a medium Slurpee. There is a small stipulation, however, cups must fit upright through a 10-inch-diameter hole — so trash cans and swimming pools won’t work.

This is the first time BYO Cup Day has been hosted in the US; 7‑Eleven stores in Australia, Canada, the Philippines and Malaysia have held BYO Cup Days in the past.

Turlock has three 7-Eleven locations, 445 Lander Ave., 2500 Geer Rd., and 3420 W. Monte Vista Ave.
