A two-and-a-half-year-old child was transported by air ambulance around noon today after suffering head injuries as a result of falling from a moving vehicle.
Turlock police received report of the incident at approximately 12:48 p.m. when a witness saw the young child fall out of the moving vehicle on Christoffersen Parkway near Crowell Road, said Turlock police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis.
The witness reported that the vehicle then stopped and an occupant got out and placed the child back in the vehicle before it drove off, said Lewis.
Officers located the vehicle in the 3900 block of Geer Road, where they found the two-and-a-half-year-old girl with head injuries, said Lewis.
An ambulance was immediately called to the scene, but medical services determined an air ambulance would be necessary due to the extent of the injuries.
The child was airlifted from Dale Pinkney Park, located on Cherry Blossom Lane, to a hospital.
Early reports indicate the child opened the car door and fell out, said Lewis. It is unknown if the child was restrained in a car seat at the time of the incident.
No arrests have been made and the incident remains under investigation.
You sound like more of an idiot making that assumption.
hope the child is ok
No one would ever blame themselves for poor parenting.
It's not that undocumented are idiots, it's that they are afraid of the punishment an accident like this can bring them, they are already condemned because they are undocumented, no body cares about what really happened. When my daughter was two years old I could not keep her in her car seat, I had to change them so many times in an attempt to keep her safe, but no matter what I did she got out, I would be driving and before I knew it she was all over the back seat. There were times it took me forever to get somewhere because I had to continually stop and tie her in. She was a little Houdini.
