If you’re headed out for a late night coffee or tea, you Starbucks addicts may be out of luck.

Starbucks stores nationwide, including in Turlock, are experiencing outages due to a register glitch Friday evening causing many stores to close early or remain open in a limited capacity.

“We are aware of the point of sale register outage at company-operated Starbucks stores in the U.S. and Canada,” Starbucks said in a statement on Friday evening. “We are actively working to resolve the outage. Our stores that have not already closed for the evening are closing early.”

Starbucks says the outage is due to a failure during a system refresh. There’s no estimated time for when the problem will be fix.

“We apologize to our customers for any inconvenience or confusion and will update this statement once systems are back online,” said Starbucks in the statement.
