Auto Theft Duo Found with Counterfeit Money, Drugs

Authorities arrested two suspects, a driver and passenger, in a stolen vehicle, that were found to be in possession of counterfeit money and a controlled substance on April 29.

The Stanislaus County Auto Theft Task Force (StanCATT), with the assistance of the California State University, Stanislaus Police Department, located a vehicle that had been reported stolen.

Officers located the vehicle at the 7-Eleven on Geer Road and took both the passenger and driver into custody.

The driver, Joshua Haidar, 30, was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and in violation of his parole. He was charged with auto theft and possession of a stolen automobile, as well as the above mentioned charges.

The passenger, Elisa Flores, 37, was found in possession of counterfeit US currency and arrested for that, as well as auto theft, possession of stolen automobile, and violation of her probation.
