The 18-year-old man who was wounded in the shooting on N. Olive Avenue Thursday afternoon is expected to recover, police say.
The victim was shot in the 900 block of N. Olive Avenue, in the area between Canal Drive and Starr Avenue, on Thursday afternoon.
He was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to recover, said Turlock police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis.
The shooting is still under investigation and little remains known about the events surrounding the shooting.
Turlock Police Department investigators had a portion of N. Olive Avenue blocked off, but the crime scene was slowly being taken down around 7 p.m.
This was the second shooting in Turlock this week, with a 44-year-old man suffering serious wounds after being shot around 4 a.m. Tuesday in the 600 block of 20th Century Boulevard.
Anyone with information on either shooting can contact the Turlock Police Department at 209-668-1200.
