Summer is quickly approaching, which means the annual Fourth of July Parade through Downtown Turlock will be here before we know it.
Those looking to participate in the Downtown Turlock Independence Day Parade and Street Faire can now register.
Between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m., Turlockers and guests from all around will flock downtown to enjoy the annual celebration. The parade will take place at 10 a.m. on the Fourth of July, with a street faire taking place before and after the parade in Central Park and along Main Street.
Following the parade and street faire, there will be a fireworks show at the California State University, Stanislaus for the first time since 2009.
Applications for parade participants must be submitted by June 12. Cost is $45 for non-profit entries, $55 for general entries, and $65 for commercial entries. A total of 75 parade entries will be available.
Floats cannot be longer than 25 feet long and entries longer than 60 feet in total must pay two entry fees. Neighborhood groups and bicyclists are also encouraged to enter!
The deadline for vendor applications is June 19. Craft and food vendors can both apply, as well as non-profits who want to set up an informational booth.
All applications must be mailed to the Turlock Downtown Property Owners Association at P.O. Box 1327, Turlock, CA, 95381.
