Turlock firefighters will be out filling their boots with donations this Saturday at Monte Vista Crossings in hopes to raising money for Turlock Firefighters Local #2434’s “Random Acts of Kindness” fund.

Firefighters will be out on Monte Vista Avenue and Countryside Drive with boots in hand between 8:30 a.m. till around 3 p.m. Saturday.

Last year’s boot drive was a success, raising nearly $10,000 for the “Random Acts of Kindness” fund.

The “Random Acts of Kindness” fund is intended to be used to benefit the local community in some way.

Past uses of the fund included buying materials to replace the bleachers at the Julien Elementary Baseball Diamond after metal thieves stole the bleachers on Feb. 20, 2014.
