The Turlock Police Department has released some additional details in the shooting on N. Olive Avenue that wounded an 18-year-old man Thursday afternoon.
The victim was walking with a companion in the 900 block of N. Olive Avenue before 5 p.m. on Thursday when an unknown vehicle with an unknown number of suspects fired multiple shots from the vehicle, said Turlock police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis.
The victim suffered a gunshot wound in his arm and was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He is expected to recover from his injuries.
During the course of the investigation, Turlock police served a search warrant to a residence in the 900 block of N. Olive Avenue and made two arrests, but they were unrelated to Thursday’s shooting.
The search warrant was served as the victim had been taken to the residence after being shot, however it was in order to get him help, Lewis clarified.
Turlock police located a stolen handgun in the residence, however the gun is not believed to be used in the shooting, said Lewis.
Hector Marin, 33, was arrested and booked for being a felon is possession of a firearm and receiving stolen property. Vanessa Dominguez, 35, was arrested and cited for possession of stolen property.
The shooting remains an ongoing investigation by the Turlock Police Department.
