Turlock police have identified a suspect in the May 12 shooting on 20th Century Boulevard that seriously wounded a 44-year-old man.
Amado Mickey Gonzalez, 38, of Turlock, is wanted by the Turlock Police Department for attempted murder and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Gonzalez is wanted in connection of the May 12 shooting that left one victim seriously wounded.
Officers responded to the 600 block of 20th Century Boulevard around 4 a.m. on May 12 after the Turlock Police Department received several 911 calls of a shooting. Police arrived to find a 44-year-old male victim suffering from multiple life-threatening gunshot wounds to his legs and lower back.
During the course of the investigation, police located a vehicle in the 700 block of Lambert Way that was sought in connection with the shooting. The occupants were detained and the vehicle was towed to the Turlock Police Department.
The driver, Gonzalez, was taken to the Turlock Police Department for questioning, but was later released. The passenger, a 30-year-old female from Turlock, was released at the scene.
Detectives obtained a search warrant for the vehicle and inside they found a firearm believed to have been used in the May 12 shooting.
