The Turlock Police Department is investigating a late-night shooting on Monday that left one adult male dead.
Police responded to the intersection of Starr and N. Denair avenues at approximately 11:29 p.m. Monday after receiving multiple reports of a shooting that had just occurred.
Officers arrived and located a 38-year-old victim who had suffered multiple life-threatening gunshot wounds, said Turlock police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he died as a result of his injuries, said Lewis.
The victim has been identified, however, his identity will not be released until the next of kin is notified.
The homicide remains an ongoing investigation.

This is the third shooting in under two weeks — with shootings on May 12 and May 14. On May 12, a 44-year-old male victim suffered life-threatening gunshots wounds while in the 600 block of 20th Century Boulevard. On May 14, a, 18-year-old male victim suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to his legs while in the 900 block of N. Olive Avenue.
