The City of Turlock has began its search for the next Turlock Fire Chief, who will replace Chief Tim Lohman after he steps down in August.
Lohman was appointed Fire Chief on March 1, 2011 after taking over as interim Fire Chief on July 1, 2010. After 35 years in fire services, Lohman announced he is stepping down as Fire Chief to explore other ventures.
Now the City of Turlock is actively searching for Lohman’s replacement before he steps down on Aug. 15.
According to the City of Turlock’s job posting, the Fire Chief’s salary will be between $10,026 and $12,187 monthly, with excellent benefits.
A qualified candidate is expected to have five or more years of professional experience with a fire department at the level of battalion chief or above, include three years of administration or management experience.
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with significant coursework in the areas of Fire Science, Business Administration, or a related field is also required.
Prospective candidates must submit a letter of interest, resume, and City of Turlock employment application no later than 5 p.m. on June 22.
