In a long list of changes for the company, MedicAlert Foundation announced Tuesday that David Leslie has been selected as their new chief executive officer.
Leslie, who succeeds Daniel McCormick of ETR Associates, who has served as interim CEO, will take over his new role in early July.

His experience with e-commerce organizations combined with the ability to bring people together to achieve a common purpose will provide the Foundation with a strong path forward. His vision for how personal medical information and technology will be used and experienced around the world is exactly what MedicAlert needs as the Foundation enters its next chapter of growth.”
Leslie is the Founder and CEO of ZippSlip.com, an e-commerce company in the education management industry. Prior to that Leslie held a variety of leadership positions in technology and consumer driven companies including Acting CEO of National Children’s Center; Chairman and Founder of TireVan Corporation; and CEO and Founder of Intersect Software Corporation. He has recently served on the Board of MedicAlert Foundation.

MedicAlert, which produces bracelets and other medical IDs with information emergency responders, has been going through restructuring recently, including putting their current building at 2323 Colorado Ave. in Turlock up for sale and laying off 31 of 90 employees in January.
The MedicAlert Foundation was established in 1956 and pioneered the use of medical IDs and delivers a trusted Emergency Identification and Medical Information Network.
