Traffic Advisory: Collision Causes Grass Fire on Highway 99

Motorists on Highway 99 should be advised of heavy smoke coming from a grass fire between the Monte Vista Avenue and Taylor Road exits.

The grass fire was started after a white pickup truck collided with the center divider on Highway 99 at 4:04 p.m., reports California Highway Patrol.

Both occupants of the vehicle were able to safely exit the vehicle and CHP is reporting that there were no injuries.

The pickup became fully engulfed in flames and the grass fire is approximately 300 feet in size.

Motorists should be advised if traveling through the area and use caution as there may be limited visibility.
