Traffic Advisory: Grass Fire on Highway 99 Near Lander

Motorists should be advised of a grass fire on the shoulder of southbound Highway 99 near Lander Avenue.

The fire was reported just after 6:30 p.m. on the right hand shoulder just south of the Lander Avenue exit.

The Turlock Fire Department is on scene working the fire with the Turlock Rural Fire Department backing up.

The southbound Highway 99 entrance is closed by Turlock police for the fire.

It is unknown what caused the fire.
