Traffic Advisory: Car in Canal Along Taylor Road

A portion of Taylor Road near Turlock is currently closed as a car has sunk in the canal along the road.

The vehicle in the canal was reported to the California Highway Patrol at approximately 8:36 p.m. on Taylor Road, in between the Quincy Road split.

Taylor Road is closed to traffic in the area, so motorists to should plan for alternate routes.

The vehicle, which is of unknown make and model, is fully submerged in the canal and CHP reported only seeing the roof.

The tow truck is currently on scene and the Turlock Fire Department is assisting in getting the vehicle out of the canal.

It is unknown how long Taylor Road will remain closed.
