The NFL Players Association has announced that San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick ranked second among all players in merchandise sales during the first sales quarter.
Kaepernick, a Turlock native, was ranked only behind New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady during the sales quarter.
The list is based on the total sales of all officially licensed NFL merchandise from March 1 to May 31 of this year.
While Kap fell short of the top spot in total merchandise sales, he ranked first in Nike jersey sales during the quarter. Kaepernick also topped the list of sales in women’s apparel.
