Turlock police arrested one suspect and cited another after a robbery at Raley’s led to a member of security being kicked in the groin last week.

Officers responded to Raley’s shortly before 4 p.m. on July 29 on the report of a fight in-progress between a male and female.

Upon arrival, officers found that store security had attempted to detain two suspects who were attempting to steal toiletries, said Turlock police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis.

The male suspect, Adam Beam, 27, had given the merchandise back at the security’s request, but the female suspect, Heather Johnson, 19, refused to cooperate and kicked the security guard in the groin.

Turlock police took both suspects into custody. Beam was issued a citation for theft and Johnson was arrested and booked for robbery.
