CSU Stanislaus Makes Princeton Review Top University List for 10th Consecutive Year

For the 10th consecutive year, California State University, Stanislaus has continued to maintain a spot on the Princeton Review’s prestigious list of the nation's best universities.

“To be among the best for academics is a wonderful reflection of our University – especially our faculty,” President Joseph F. Sheley said. “And to be ranked for 10 consecutive years is a significant achievement.”

The Princeton Review staff selects colleges “primarily based on [their] high opinion of their academics,” according to the Princeton Review website. The publication collects data from more than 2,000 schools for the lists and rankings it includes in its annual guide to college, which was first published in 1992.

Sonoma State is the only other CSU to be recognized on the top 380 lists, which also includes seven other members of the University of California system.

Unlike Money magazine, which last month named CSU Stanislaus the nation’s top public value-added university, the Princeton Review does not rank the schools on its list.

As for New York City-based publication, it compiles a list of the top schools by region, which pares down the initial roster of more than 2,000 schools to the 649 it splits geographically. CSU Stanislaus is one of seven CSUs on the “Best Western” list, which also includes eight UC schools.

As of last week’s Forbes.com national rankings for colleges and universities, the Princeton Review’s rankings come up, and unlike the Princeton Review, Forbes ranks schools after it chooses a top 650, and placed CSU Stanislaus No. 471 nationally. Plus Stanislaus is at No. 89 out of all colleges in the West Region.

Csu stanislaus has connections with pig farmers. Unlike San Jose state, which has connections with innovative hi-tech Silicon Valley companies transforming world in 21st century. Stupid pig farmers.
