With the kind of heat expected this week, Turlock residents will need a place to cool down. Luckily for Turlock residents, the spray parks are currently open 7 days a week.
Turlock is in for a hot week. According to the Turlock Irrigation District’s online weather center, the temperature in Turlock will be around 100 degrees until Saturday when the temperature is expected to reach 107 degrees.
One of the best ways to cool down in Turlock is with the public spray parks in town. Turlock has two parks with spray features, Broadway Park and Columbia Park.
Yesterday, the spray parks began new operating days and hours. Previously the spray parks were operating from 1 PM to 8 PM Friday through Sunday. On May 30, the spray parks began operating 7 days a week from 1 PM to 8 PM.
This schedule will be in effect until June 10. Afterward, the schedule will change to June 11th until August 9th Monday through Friday from 3 PM until 8 PM and 1 PM to 8 PM Saturday and Sunday. The next schedule change will operation from August 10th through September 5th from 1PM until 8PM on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
However, due to severe drought conditions, these hours are subject to change.
