With summer just around the corner, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5059 is providing the perfect family friendly environment to beat the heat, support Veterans, and to enjoy some good food and good “stuff.”
If Turlockers enjoyed the celebratory Memorial Day BBQ and community gathering at the VFW Post 5059, they can stop by the VFW Post 5059 every week this month to meet the veterans and enjoy good BBQ food.
The Men’s Auxiliary of the VFW hosts a barbecue every week this month that is open to the community. Walk on down to the BBQ to get some hamburgers and “stuff” from Turlock veterans. This “stuff” offered by Turlock’s VFW is a wide variety of delicious food from hamburgers, different kinds of barbecue, and sandwiches.
Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will also be available for purchase.
This is a donation based event, with prices ranging from $5 to $8 for a meal.
“This is a wonderful event for people to get together to support the Veterans. The money goes to the Veteran’s Hospital, Veterans in need, and to the community…,” Commander of VFW Post 5059, Clint Barth stated.
Kids are more than welcome to join in on the fun, but parents will be responsible for any special seating accommodations that might be necessary for small children.
This indoor barbecue will take place every Friday evening in June from 4pm to 7pm, hosted by the VFW Post 5059 at 1405 East Linwood Avenue.
If Turlockers are tired of the heat and love good barbecue, head out and join the community in honoring and supporting Turlock veterans.
