Traffic Advisory: Accident on Lander Involving Big Rig vs Car

Drivers should be advised of an accident, involving a big rig and a car, that is affecting traffic on Lander Avenue.

At around 11:15 a.m., the Turlock police and firefighters responded to the scene of an injury-accident on the 1400 block of Lander Avenue.

A big rig and a silver vehicle were involved in a collision on Lander, near the intersection of Lander Avenue and Montana Avenue.

Currently, both vehicles are pulled over to the side of the road. A police vehicle is parked across the first northbound lane of Lander Avenue, heading toward Olive Avenue, causing a temporary lane blockage at the scene.

Vehicles are passing slowly but freely through the second lane. A fire engine and police vehicle are parked in the left turn lane at the location.

According to the police scanner, a baby was in the vehicle at the time of the collision, however, no serious injuries have been found on the child.

If there are any major updates, will have them as soon as information is released.

Traffic should resume to normal conditions soon.
