A shooting that occurred on North Thor Street is being reported as a suspected burglary in which the homeowner shot and killed the alleged intruder.
On Oct. 31, at approximately 1 p.m., Turlock Police officers responded to a shooting on the 300 block of North Thor Street.
The individual shot was identified as a male, and when officers arrived, the individual had sustained life threatening gunshot injuries.
CPR was performed until paramedics arrived on scene, and he was transferred to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Initial investigation from detectives are indicating the male subject had broken into the home, and was confronted by the homeowner, who shot the subject.
The homeowner called 911 to report the incident and is cooperating with the investigation.
The incident is an active investigation. No additional information is available at this time.
The identity of the subject is currently unknown.
