Advisory: Police Respond to Robbery at CVS, Different Call of Officer Shot

Eric Escalante/TurlockCityNews.com

Turlock police responded to a robbery call, while also getting a report about an officer being shot.

This morning, the Turlock Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred at the CVS located on Geer Road.

At the same time, around 10 a.m., a false 9-1-1 call took some officers to Highway 99 and Lander Avenue in response to report about a police officer who had been shot.

A roll call taken by law enforcement would confirm the safe status of all the units, and the call is believed to have been used as a distraction to law enforcement in relation to the actual robbery at CVS on Geer Road.

Police are currently on the lookout for a white male adult, who is believed to have a silver handgun, and driving a white pickup truck.
