Drunk driver flees from police early Tuesday morning

On Tuesday, April 13th, 2021, at approximately 2:25 am, a Turlock Police officer on patrol in the area of Flower St and W Ave N attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle. When the officer initiated his lights, the driver of the vehicle failed to yield and a pursuit ensued.

During the pursuit, speeds reached upwards of 80 mph. Eventually, the driver pulled over and began to comply. Officers made a high risk stop and took the driver into custody, who was later identified as Mark Hall, 55, of Merced. Hall was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of flight from a peace officer endangering public safety and driving under the influence.

Teen Shot in the Rear-End by Other Teen

At about 2:20pm Wednesday afternoon, Stanislaus County Sheriff’s and Turlock Police responded to a weapon offense that had just occurred at a residence in the 900 block of Kenwood Avenue, after several callers had reported hearing about 10 shots in the area.
