Firefighters Respond to Same Dumpster on Fire Twice Within Hours

At about 1:00pm Monday afternoon, the Turlock Fire Department was dispatched to a reported dumpster fire in the 3100 block of James Lane.

When crews arrived on scene, they found a dumpster fully involved. The fire was quickly brought under control and put out, preventing spread to nearby structures or vehicles.

Later that day at about 4:10 pm, the Turlock Fire Department was dispatched to the same location for the same dumpster on fire again. The fire was quickly brought under control and put out again.

The cause of the fires are currently unknown and remain under investigation. It is currently unknown if the second fire was a reactivation of the first or if someone intentionally lit it.
