At about 3:40 pm Wednesday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol, Turlock Rural Fire Protection District, and American Medical Response were dispatched to a reported vehicle collision with unknown injuries at South Daubenberger Road and South Golden State Boulevard.
When crews arrived on scene, they located two vehicles involved. One was a semi truck and the other was a train. No one sustained any injuries.
The California Highway Patrol began its investigation and determined that the semi truck was traveling westbound on South Daubenberger Road carrying organic milk crossing over the railroad tracks when it’s trailer high-centered on the tracks. Its driver exited his semi truck and the trailer was struck shortly later by a northbound Union Pacific freight train, shearing it into half.
