Vehicle Crashes into Fire Hydrant and Fence

At about 8:51 pm Friday night, the Turlock Police Department and Turlock Fire Department were dispatched to a reported vehicle collision with no injuries in the 1400 block of Lambert Way.

When crews arrived on scene, they located a single vehicle involved. That vehicle was a silver Honda SUV. Its occupants were uninjured.

For an unknown reason, the vehicle left the roadway, struck and took out a fire hydrant, then struck a fence where it came to final rest.

The driver of the vehicle was arrested and released on a citation for driving without a license.

As a result of the collision, the vehicle became inoperable and had to be towed away from the scene. City crews responded to replace the fire hydrant.
