At about 8:10 pm Thursday night, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported disturbance at Carl’s Jr., 2980 Geer Road, Turlock. The caller was an employee at the business who reported that there was a subject, later identified as Ulises Moreno, 39, of Delhi, in a white Ford pickup truck in their drive-thru causing a disturbance and refusing to leave.

As officers were arriving on scene, Moreno noticed them and took off eastbound on Hedstrom Road from the parking lot. He led officers behind Raley’s and In Shape City, eventually bringing them back out onto the road on East Minnesota Ave.

Moreno then led officers to the driveway of a home in the 2000 block of North Denair Ave where he foot-bailed from the vehicle, however, officers were able to quickly capture him.

Officers then went back to the Carl’s Jr. to investigate what had occurred there. Through that investigation, officers learned that Moreno had attempted to batter an employee through the drive-thru window.

Moreno was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of flight from a peace officer with disregard to public safety, resisting a peace officer, driving while intoxicated, driving with a suspended license, and assault.
