At about 8:16 pm Monday night, the Turlock Police Department, Turlock Fire Department, and American Medical Response were dispatched to a reported vehicle collision with injuries at the intersection of Geer Road and East Monte Vista Avenue, Turlock.
When crews arrived on scene, they located two vehicles involved. One was a white Toyota sedan and the other was a gray Chevrolet SUV.
The white Toyota sedan had an unknown number of occupants, with only one of which suffering minor injuries and refusing to be transported. The gray Chevrolet sedan only had one occupant, the driver, who did not suffer any injuries.
Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and were deemed inoperable as a result of the collision, requiring them to be towed away from the scene.
Witnesses reported that the white Toyota sedan was traveling southbound on Geer Road in the process of making a eastbound turn onto East Monte Vista Avenue, when the gray Chevrolet sedan struck it in the intersection while it was traveling eastbound on East Monte Vista Avenue, however, it remains unknown who actually had the right of way at the time and who was in the wrong.
