At about 9:52 pm Monday night, a Turlock Police officer near Chevron Food Mart, 881 North Golden State Boulevard, Turlock, noticed a vehicle matching the description of one wanted in connection to a domestic violence incident with injuries that had occurred just a few minutes prior. The officer initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and its driver, Justin Bratcher, 27, of Turlock, pulled it into the Chevron Food Martโs parking lot.
The officer made contact with Bratcher and noticed signs of intoxication, which ultimately led to him being removed from the vehicle and being asked to participate in standardized field sobriety tests. Bratcher agreed and began taking the test. The officer developed probable cause to arrest Bratcher for driving while intoxicated.
The officer investigating the domestic violence incident also responded to the traffic stop and placed Bratcher under arrest for domestic violence causing injuries.
Bratcher was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
