At about 8:40 pm Tuesday night, the Turlock Police Department, Turlock Fire Department, and American Medical Response were dispatched to a reported vehicle collision with injuries at the intersection of East Olive Avenue and North Denair Avenue, Turlock.
When crews arrived on scene, they located two vehicles involved. One was a white Chevrolet pickup truck and the other was a black Nissan minivan.
The driver and only occupant of the white Chevrolet pickup truck was uninjured. It is currently unknown how many occupants were in the black Nissan minivan, however, one of its occupants suffered minor injuries and was ground transported by American Medical Response to a local hospital.
Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and were deemed inoperable as a result of the collision, requiring them to be towed away.
Witnesses reported that the white Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling southbound on North Denair Avenue while the black Nissan minivan was traveling eastbound on East Olive Avenue. Witnesses reported that as the white Chevrolet pickup truck approached the intersection, it stopped at the stop sign and then pulled out directly in front of the black Nissan minivan that did not have a stop sign, broadsiding it.
