At about 3:01 pm Friday afternoon, the Turlock Police Department and Turlock Fire Department were dispatched to a reported hit and run with no injuries at a residence in the 1000 block of Fifth Street, Turlock.
When crews arrived on scene, they did not locate any vehicles involved, but did locate a downed stop sign, damaged gas and water lines, and a house with minor damage.
Witnesses reported that the involved vehicle was a red Nissan sedan that had left the area prior to anyone’s arrival.
City crews responded to repair the stop sign and water line, while Pacific Gas and Electric responded to repair the gas line.
It is currently unknown how the collision occurred.
The investigation remains on-going.
