At about 6:43 pm Saturday evening, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported vehicle collision with no injuries at a residence in the 1800 block of Peacock Drive, Turlock.
When officers arrived on scene, they located two vehicles involved. One was a black Chrysler sedan and the other was a black Acura SUV.
The driver of the black Chrysler sedan, who was its only occupant, did not suffer any injuries. The black Acura SUV was parked in the driveway of the residence and unoccupied.
Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and were deemed inoperable as a result of the collision, however, were not towed away and were left at the scene.
Officers noticed signs of intoxication coming from the driver of the black Chrysler sedan and began conducting standardized field sobriety tests on him, however, were unable to gain probable cause that he was legally intoxicated and were unable to arrest him.
It is currently unknown how the collision occurred.
