At about 12:52 pm Monday afternoon, the Turlock Police Department and Turlock Fire Department were dispatched to a reported vehicle collision with unknown injuries at the intersection of North Minaret Street and East Avenue, Turlock.
When crews arrived on scene, they located two vehicles involved. One was a white Ford pickup truck and the other was a silver Honda sedan.
Both vehicles only had one occupant and they were both uninjured.
Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and were deemed inoperable as a result of the collision, requiring them to be towed away.
Officers noticed signs of intoxication coming from the driver of the silver Honda sedan and began conducting standardized field sobriety tests on him. As a result of those tests, officers developed probable cause to place him under arrest.
He was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on unknown charges. His identity is currently unknown.
