At about 5:00 pm Monday evening, the Turlock Police Department and Turlock Fire Department were dispatched to a reported vehicle collision with no injuries at a residence in the 500 block of North Thor Street.
When crews arrived on scene, they located a single vehicle involved, a blue Mercedes-Benz van which was an Amazon delivery vehicle. The vehicle had struck a fire hydrant which was down and had water coming out of it like a geyser.
The driver of the vehicle, it’s only occupant, did not suffer any injuries.
The vehicle sustained minor damage and was able to be driven away from the scene.
It is currently unknown how the collision occurred.
